Psychotic Disorders
Psychotic disorders are a group of mental health conditions characterized by disruptions in thinking, perception, and reality. Individuals may experience symptoms such as hallucinations (seeing or hearing things that aren’t there), delusions (strongly held false beliefs), disorganized thinking, or difficulty distinguishing what is real. While these experiences can be distressing and impact daily life, early intervention and comprehensive treatment can help manage symptoms and support recovery.
Treatment
Treatment for psychotic disorders can consist of:
Psychotherapy, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for psychosis (CBTp)
Psychoeducation for individuals and families
Social skills training and rehabilitation programs
